KRAUTROCK
ORIGINALS
ASH RA TEMPEL- Schwingungen- Original 1972 German 1st pressing
on OHR.
rare german cosmic psych
masterpiece from Manuel Göttschin & Co. As with most originals
i’ve seen,
there is a slight lamination peeling on the opening edge and a sticker
on the backcover that could be
removed. The usual light surface
noise here and there, common even to Mint copies. Conservatively EX+/EX; Pokora vol 4001 page 42 with 1 star + special
“masterpiece” symbol. RESERVED
BRAVE
NEW WORLD-
Oh! Calcutta!- Rarely seen original pressing on POLYDOR
2371 103-GERMANY.
Recorded 2 years before their classic VERTIGO release in 1972, this
album is
actually rarer and even unknown to many. This was originally an
avant-gardish
theatrical experiment, a “celebration of sex in song and
dance” as the
backcover liner notes explain. Beautiful laminated cover is EX with
barely a
hint of edge wear. The vinyl is EX with very tiny hairlines. Lovely
condition!

CORPORAL
GANDER FIRE DOG BRIGADE-
On the rocks- Actually this is WIND’s first
recording under another name, released just 1 year before the album
“seasons”.
A great heavy oddity from germany which even includes a cover version
of Black
Sabbath’s “Paranoid”. Rarely seen in this
nice condition: EX++/EX++ Very close
to Mint all of it. Don’t miss. 50.-
DUDE
DURST-
Krokodil Solo- Fantastic
solo album by Krokodil’s drummer „dude
durst“, here in original German pressing
on Sunset SLS 50 199 Z from 1970. Has amazing drums, as can be
expected, with saxes,
flutes, tablas, bass and piano and an overall teutonic feel typical of
the best
kraut LP’s out there. Condition is stunning: Cover is EX with
one 1 tiny cut on
lower right corner + light creases on the edges, otherwise perfect, and
vinyl
is EX++ to NM. If you liked the NIAGARA albums you need this one.
keeper! 60.-
FAITHFUL
BREATH- Fading Beauty- Beastly
rare 1973 German Private Pressing that has
been released in 2 variant covers: One blue and one brown. The brown is
generally assumed to be the first release, though both came out
moreless
simultaneously and in a limited edition of only a few hundred each. The
music
is a strong doomy Symphonic progressive with cool Organ/ Guitar and
Mellotron. Cover
is VG++ with some ringwear and edge wear + some marks on the edges,
nothing
serious though. The vinyl is very nice EX++ to NM. A rare kraut prog
beast!
Brown cover with 3 stars on Pokora volume 2001 page 29; 200.-
KRAAN-
Wiederhoren- Here’s an unusual Portuguese
pressing of Kraan’s 5th album from
1977 (which is often considered
as a new beginning for Kraan with a new powerful sound thanks to a new
keyboardist). Cover is VG, seems to have some water marks and ringwear,
but no
tears to the spine or edges. Vinyl grades VG+ with several superficial
marks
and scuffs. Plays fine. Has some super powerful moments that must have
inspired
Ozric Tentacles at the time of release. Really a very fresh and
surprisingly creative
album! Unseen pressing on Portuguese Harvest label. 25.-
McCHURCH
SOUNDROOM-
Delusion- A bit of an
oddity in the kraut scene, this Swiss band’s sole recording
issued on the Pilz
label, sounds like a heavy underground UK band with hints of jethro
Tull and
Gravy Train’s debut album, lots of flute, hammond and a
singer that sometimes
even reminds us of Ian Anderson. Has also similarities to Thirsty moon
and the
precious german Jazz-rock scene of the time (bands like out of focus,
kollektiv, etc..) This album has been literaly sky-rocketing in price
in the past
years with an EX copy selling on ebay for over 600 euros. Here you have
an
immaculate MINT/MINT- original. Full laminated is a beauty. Intact,
just as the
day it was purchased. The vinyl is unplayed with the typical surface
marks from
placing and removing the vinyl from the inner sleeve (quite common with
the
Pilz label). Still it’s a fantastic Mint-! Definitely the
final upgrade.
Appears in the German section of Pokora vol 2001 page 31 with 3 stars.

OKTOBER-
Die Pariser
Commune- Not particulary rare but great double album on the Antagon label with excellent
musicianship all the way
through! This was a big band with several instruments, sometimes
reminiscent of
the Blood Sweat & tears sound, sometimes more ggresive in sound
with
complex jazzy-rock passages. Comes with a 12 pages booklet still
attached on
the inner gatefold. Cover is laminated and has some peeling as most of
these
have, so grades VG++. The vinyls are a clean EX- with some superficial
marks
but none deep. 30.-
STRINX-
Talk to the wind-
This is an obscure German LP on spiegelei of Jazz-rock with a free-jazz
leaning
and some very cool funk-rock moments sounding almost like Embryo!
Electric
Violin is dominant and there’s no electric guitar! Spiegelei
28 583-3 from
1973. Cover is EX+ with light corner wear, Vinyl is Mint-; 60.-
MICHAEL
VETTER-
Overtones- Voice & Tambura- 2 LP original press on WERGO
SPECTRUM
SM 1038/39. In
this recording Vetter uses special techniques to create a flux of
overtones subtly
hidden in every voice audible, thus creating fascinating sound
pictures..Truly
unlike anything i’ve heard before! Cover
is EX-, Vinyls are MINT-; 30.-
ADALBERT
VON DEYEN-
Nordborg- 1979 original pressing on the German sky label (sky 029).
This is his second and best LP, very much in the vein of early Klaus
schulze,
dark and atmospheric with only two long tracks. Both Cover and vinyl
are EX+.
35.-
