LOS
APSON-
Por Eso Estamos. Original
pressing in STILL SEALED condition. Great Mexican LOS
BABYS- Sensacion en ritmo- Here’s an
original pressing of this Rare Mexican Garage Surf Instro LP by LOS BABYS DISCOS ECO 717 from 1968. NICE clean EX/EX-! Seen in Pokora vol 3001 page 115 with 2 stars. 70.- BEATLES-
Golden Hits 18- UNIQUE MALAYSIAN cover! Rare
and very nice Malaysia only LP. Seen in Pokora vol 4001 page 35 with 3 stars. Original press PS records NTLP 249 from 1971. EX-/EX-; 110.- THE
CARROLLS-Same-
Electrerecord EDE 1150- 1966 original Romanian pressing. Used to be a 4
stars
in the 1st Pokora book (rare record cover book)
and renegaded
recently to 2 stars in the 5001 volume. Still, after searching
frantically for
3 months for records in Romania i can assure from first-hand experience
that
such is no easy task! These sweet 60’s 10 inches are simply
nowhere to be
found! So here’s a wonderful original in nice condition:
Extremely fragile
cover (one wonders how these survived at all!) is EX- with just light
edge wear
and fading, almost unnoticeable writing on the white surface. The vinyl
is a
stunning EX++. I didn’t grade it Mint- because there are a
couple of very thin
hairlines visible under strong light, but this is as good as it gets!;
100.- CZERWONO-CZARNI-
Same-
Original 1966 Polish press on MUZA XL 0352Lovely M-/M- condition. As seen in Pokora vol 2001 page 62 with 1 star. There are no M-/M- copies anywhere, but this is one, so grab this awesome beat garage from behind the iron curtain while it’s still hot! 50.- EASYBEATS-
The Shame just Drained (Rare outtakes
from 1965-68)- This is a 1978 Australian issue on
“Albert productions”APLP
026. Gorgeous psychedelic Gatefold cover is a clean EX with NO cut-out
or drill
hole. Vinyl is superb Mint-; 60.- WAYNE
FONTANA & THE MINDBENDERS- The
game of love; Rare Brazilian issue on Philips (not Fontana), original from 1966! Both cover and vinyl are VG++/VG++, but still quite acceptable and no doubt collectable on this label variation; 50.- GOLDEN
CUPS-
Album Vol 2- Original Japanese 1st press (1968) on bulky gatefold cover and red vinyl including booklet and OBI. Capitol CP-8473. Very hard to find these Japanese albums in their 1st pressings! Seen in Pokora vol 1001 page 114 with 2 stars; M-/M-; 150.- THE
HAUNTED-
Same- After the legendary Bent wind-Sussex, this is Canada’s
RAREST LP ever! A
masterpiece Garage psych album that makes you shiver (hence the name
“haunted”
each and everytime you spin this beauty. Garanteed original press on
the
Transworld label 6701 from 1967. As seen in Pokora vol 1001 page 88
with 5
stars + the special masterpiece symbol. Never..ever turns up!! OFFERS HONEYCOMBS-
Extremely rare ITALIAN only issue on the PYE label from 1965. This
never shows up anywhere! PYE SIP 3- Italy-1965.
Heavy front laminated cover is VG+ due to a full
split of upper edge
that could be easily glued together. Apart from this no problems other
than
some minor corner wear. Vinyl looks VG++ and plays better. Some great
tracks
here including Joe Meek’s great garage punk
“Can’t get through to you” As seen
in Hans Pokora’s first book (rare record cover) page 102 with
4 stars. 250.-
THE
LIVERPOOL 5-
Arrive- Here’s an unseen Brazilian pressing of this British
invasion period Uk
beat garage LP that was thought to have only been released in the US.
Same
label as the US presing, that is the Black/silver RCA victor label, cat
number
3583 MONO from 1966. Unlike the heavyweight American cardboard, this is
the
fragile Brazilian style cover which consists of 2 sheets, front and
back in “paste-on”
style but loose and only glued lightly on the sides. The cover is MINT-
with 1
small signature on top right corner. Vinyl is VG++ with a couple of
superficial
hairlines, but plays well. The Liverpool 5 were the official
rock’n’roll
representatives at the 1964 Tokyo Olympic games! Very cool version of
“I’m not
your stepping stone”. Loads of amazing guitar riffs and cool
fuzzed hammond. Essential
stuff! 50.- MAL
DEI PRIMITIVES-
Same- Second album of Paul Couling who recorded this with his group
“The primitives” in Italy in ’68.
Original Italian pressing on RCA- piper club
PSL 10442 from 1968. As seen in Pokora’s first book (Rare
record cover book)
page 113 with 2 stars. EX/EX-; 110.-
MOPS-
Psychedelic sounds in Japan- here’s a mega rare original 1st
press of the best MOPS album, released in 1968 on the Victor label SJV 356. This is the very
first pressing that
never turns up anywhere! Quite raw garage sound with lots of fuzz and
cool
vocals. A few well done covers and a couple of selfpenned tracks,
partly sung
in Japanese, partly in English. The bulky laminated gatefold cover is
in very
nice EX+ shape with a little cut on the top of spine and minimal corner
wear.
Apart from this would be Mint-. The vinyl has several superficial
marks,
hairlines and scratches but plays surprisingly well! Visually a VG(+),
audibly
more like EX. On the inner cover, where the vinyl is inserted, there is
a stamp
of the previous owner (hans pokora!). Has been listed in his book
volume 1001
page 115 with 4 stars + special masterpiece symbol; 550.-
OX-
First album- Super
rare original pressing of japanese beat garage. Gorgeous and massive
gatefold
cover is EX- with some edge wear and
5cm beginning of split in the center spine, otherwise fine. The vinyl
grades at
VG++ with a couple of superficial hairlines and marks, but plays
actually quite
well! Victor Sjx-501 from 1968; 120.- THE
PLAYBOYS-
Same- Used to be a 4
stars in Pokora, ecently downgraded to 2 stars in the last volume.Still a rare 10” that was issued only in Romania in 1960. This is a strong VG+/VG++ that plays excellent! Electrecord EDD 1115; Pokora 5001 page 60 with 2 stars; 150.- Q65-
Revolution- Rare
original 1967 Mono 1st pressing from Holland, in
unboxed DECCA QL
625363. This record is a reference, as important as the Stones, The
pretty
things or Sgt Peppers by a matter of fact. Absolutely gorgeous and
essential!
Cover is VG+ with the
original flipbacks on the rear cover, but the top
left one-half of the back LP cover flipback has the top layer of paper
torn
off, flipback is just white, so you don't notice it too much.
There might
have been writing or something on it, which was taken off, along with
the first
few layers of paper. Apart from that no major problems other than a few
creases. The vinyl looks VG to VG+ because of lots of hairlines, and
plays
about the same, no major problems other than a fair amount of pops, but
still
plays great. Overall this is an ok copy of a mega rare album, given
here with a
fair price. As
seen in Pokora vol
1001 page 33 with 2 stars; 110.- THE
ROKES-
Same- Rare Unique
1965 Italian pressing on ARC as seen in Pokora’s first book
(Rare record cover
book) with 3 stars. Heavy cardboard cover with front lamination is EX,
Vinyl is
VG++ with superficial hairlines; 150.- NANCY SIT- A go go- Hong Kong original (YHC 1001) from
1968 as seen in Pokora last volume 5001 page 139 with 2 stars; Nice and essential oriental beat garage, VG++/VG++; 60.- SONSET-
Discoteca (original
1967 Puerto-Rico raw Garage Psych ) one of the finest examples of
south-of-the-border garage-rock you'd ever want to hear. One side sung
in Spanish,
the other side in English; the Spanish side is ballady, but still with
a
definite rock flavour (including "Tema Sonset '67," which is
"Everybody Needs Somebody To Love" with a foreign accent). On the
English side, they raise holy hell with R&B standards like "Get
Out Of
My Life, Woman" and "Turn On Your Love Light." If this album was
used as an audio aid in foreign-language classes back in 1967, it must
have
been one rocking classroom... Listed with 5 stars in Pokora 1001 This
one is in
splendid M-/M- condition and still in shrink; 200.-
